I am one of the organizers, and felt the need to say "please do not get
bad feelings." I hope I can help here. To start with, as Sarah correctly
guessed, this was really planned to be a one-time event, and indeed we are
a human communication/speech group (with normal or impaired hearing) more
than a voice group. But now we have a number of human voice
communication-related projects, hence this is the source of our interest in
this field. But further, I had contacted Roger a year ago about this, also
to ask if we could perhaps combine the two events, but at the time there
were no concrete plans. As a result, we had to go ahead with our workshop
planning, as this was promised to the funding organizations. So there has
never been an intention of hijacking your wonderful workshop which is much
more broader than ours and seems better organized anyway.
So, can we work together?
