Dear all,
As we discussed with some of you before, some of us from our group would
also like to be there to contribute to VIHAR. Both points from Robert also
hold for academics in Netherlands, and last weeks of August and the first
weeks of September are very difficult for all preparations for teaching
starting. But if the second option is chosen (6-7 September) our (and
perhaps other Dutch scientists) chances for joining will be significantly
higher.
Once decided, we can also actively distribute this info within our
networks. Researchers from our communities will likely not be attending
IBAC, but they may still come for VIHAR 2019.

This sounds great! Satelliting workshops is always beneficial.
Havving organized a few workshops myself I've come to realise two things:
1. Teaching academics need to long (!) heads-up in order to free up time,
obtain/allocate time and money etc. So the sooner this is made official,
the better.
2. In Sweden academic semesters begin in late August (last week), and there
is a lot or work during the first month, so my guess is that the later
of
your two suggest dates would work better, at least here. (Sussi might be
of a different opinion?). However, this surely varies between countries.
The main point above is number 1, however.
