  Hi Sabrina,

  Your "loyal baby?" Which program?
Am I missing something from earlier in the discussion? Do you mean Ella!

thanks for your explanation as to How you eventually solve the problem.

I should have given the Whitestick URL:
  www.whitestick.co.uk

  Take it easy,

  Eamonn

Ah Eamon your grate with all these little handy programmes! but I've still
my old loyal baby here so this prog ya mention mightn't work on this. still
this baby does what I want it to do so I'm rockin!
but must pay white stick a visit

  on my speaking up exercise...
they came back to me with this is the only version we have

I've filled it in anyway and I know we're not aloud to mention organisations
here but I owe a certain person up there in NCBI a pint.
a massive massive thanks to him.

  Hi Sabrina,

You might like to try a program called Notetab Light, available from:
  http://www.notetab.com/index.php

It’s mentioned on the Whitestick website.

Note, I haven’t used it, though the homepage suggests it can open multiple
large files – and it’s free!

  Best regards,

  Eamonn

  Hi Sabrina,

Enter the File, Open With... dialogue, with the file highlighted, using
shift-F10 and goind down the menu. Then from the list of programs choose
Notepad. (Notepad is used to open 'suspect' files, so, if you likke also,
choose "always open this file type with this application" checkbox..)
(WordPad has some word-processing facilities so it would not be the best
  'text editor' for this job.)

just to say also it's a .dat file. and when I try opening it I get the
illegal operation message using the wordpad application. hitting on details
  gives:
WORDPAD caused an invalid page in
  module MSWRD832.CNV at 0167:0155f6d5.
the only way I have opened it so far is saving it and then using the edit
menue renaming the file to .doc

  Hi,
hopefully someone will be able to refresh my memory!
I've got a wonderful (not) job application form here with lovely boxes and
pictures! I've filled it in as best I could I was delighted even-though I
had to do a lot of fiddling around with it. i.E. going from jaws to PC
cursor and hitting the left mouse button. but have sighted assistance with
it and have been told that you can't read the form at all! this person is a
saint what-with them helping me with it!
they even have put these mad font sizes on the form like 72!!!!!

I'm thinking that there is a way to remove these mad things and just have
the form in plain text so if someone can come back and help I'd really
  appreciate it!
