BlankHi Paul,

Well done!

Nice Start!

You might consider popping that mini-tutorial on the vip students too?

I'm sure it would be well received!

I, the other day, had to update my security for WMP from I think 9.

Anyway the only option I got was to update altogether: so I did just that, to
11!

Flor posted a link to the list for a Jaws manual for 11!

I trust that 11 won't be much more difficult to manage than say 9 for example!

I think that when there is an upgrade of WMP you don't get the option of
updating your security with your existing one but are really forced to upgrade.

A lot of people will still be using 9 or 10 quite happily and may only need to
upgrade only if another piece of audio software is being installed and that
product needs you to update your security and then you are forced to do that
upgrade!

Tony.

  Wmp step 1

A simple step guide to storing your cds and playing them with windows media
player (wmp)

For this exercise windows media player 9 was used

But the following should work just as well with slight tweaking for player 10

1 pop the cd in the drive

2 you will get a message box that offers a number of options such as

  A

  playing the cd

  Or

B Ripping it in other words how you want to copy the music on the cd

  To store on your computer

3 pick the option that says rip using windows media player

4 when the cd has been copied to your computer it will eject itself

5 the music is now on your computer and you can find it by

  Clicking on start

  Click on my documents

  Then click on my music

Select the album and then select a track to play

6 the windows media player page will open and the track will start playing

7 to play the entire album you just copied

  Open windows media player

Click on view alt and v

Click on go to by pressing g

Click on library or media library by pressing l

8 wait a few seconds while windows media player loads the library view

9 tab around until jaws says tree view all music

10 tab again and you will be in the list of songs from the cd you just copied

You can arrow up or down through the tracks and press enter on the one you
want to hear

This is a simple guide for storing your first cd

Thereafter the keystrokes will slightly change but don’t panic

  Just keep the faith
