Hi Robbie,

Before Windows does an update it normally takes a restore point.
Therefore, you should be able to restore your system to the state it was
before the update was applied.

Try this and see if you can find the lost document.

Thanks Tim,

Last night's automatic windows update has completely removed by AppData
folder, with Roaming and everything else inside. All the .asd files have
disappeared as well.

I'll have to reassign an autorecover destination for Word and stop these
automatic updates. Meanwhile, I've lost some important hard work.

Is anyone else missing their AppData folder because of this most recent of
Windows 7 updates?

Regards,

Robbie

Hi,

I'm using Microsoft Word 2003 with Windows 7.

Windows shut down for automatic updates last night.

This morning I opened Word to get the AutoRecover documents, but they
weren't there.

Does anyone know where I can find them on my computer.

Unfortuneately, there's some urgency about this, and I'd be very garteful
for any help.

Regards,

Ropbbie
