Hi Eamon,
In Windows 7 Defender only protects against spyware.
Windows Security Essentials protects against spyware and malware.
You can have both on your system, but its probably just simpler to have
Security Essentials as it does everything Defender does and more.

Eamonn here's your sister, I have Orange Defender and don't know if that is
the same as #Windos Defendder. For the past two days my windows won't come
up and it is something to do with updates, narrator when I go into it says
"Desktop" and then "Orange Defender". I am half thinking about taking off
Orange Defender!
