Thanks. I had the poor man very worried thinking that this was something he should know and didnt, but I suppose if he bothers to relay the request it will make the point that it is necessary.

In relation to making the menus accessible on the Sky Plus box ... You
can't! Basically there's no TTS engine in the current version of the
software, so synthesised speech output isn't possible.

The RNIB has developed an add-on for Sky boxes which speaks out the menus and the now and next programme info, but not the EPG. Last I heard, Sky have agreed to buy it off them and will be marketing it. I'm trying to get an update and more details such as if and when it will be available in Ireland.
