Hi Tim, I use jaws 9 to work in word and excel 2007 quite a bit and it works good. I have had no reason to knock it just yet. It is definitely supposed to support word 2007, but I've never used word 2007 so I'm not sure how good or bad the support is. I'm not sure what to do about this. I maybe should just ask them to leave 2003 on here until JAWS is made a bit more reliable with Office 2007. The jaws 8 documentation for word would seem to co oberate this, as it says that the information in the help files has only been tested for versions of word from 2000 to 2003. Having said that you could try jaws 8 with word 2007 and many of the normal features may work. Cheers, Tim -----Original Message----- From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ulla Quayle Sent: 08 January 2008 10:26 To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vicsireland] JAWS 8.0 & Office 2007 Hi I know this might seem like a very simple question but would anyone know if JAWS 8 is compatible with Office 2007? All the PCs in work are now being upgraded and I don't want to have 2007 installed if there are any major issues with it. I am currently using Office 2003 - a bit old hat I know but it works perfectly. Is it a case of if it ain't broken don't fix it? Any feedback would be appreciated. Best regards.
