Hi eamonn,
First, In order to successfully use IE8 if you upgrade to it, you'll
need to either upgrade from JAWS7 or change your screen-reader. the
earliest JAWS to work well enough with IE8 is JAWS9 last update.
You would find an upgrade to IE8 listed in your windows updates. You
will not lose your Favorites, history, or any other settings, because of
the upgrade.

How do I update to a later version of IE? By doing so, will I lose my
