Hi Dave,
Is this screen reader support only available to sky Q customers and not
customers who have the sky plus HD box? I don't want to get a sky Q box as I
don't want to be stuck in an 18 month contract with higher prices.
Regards

Great to get your announcement Dave. Having worked many years ago on trying
to introduce accessible set top boxes into Ireland I love to see that one of
the major providers are doing such good work. Back in the day you might get
menus read out but not the TV guide.
Well done!

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [vicsireland] New Screen-Reader on Sky TV
Hi All,
It is with some pride (I must admit) that I’d like to let you know about
Voice Guidance, a new screen-reader announced today for the Sky Q set top box.
The first group of customers got the update today, and all customers will
have it by the end of April, as it is a phased roll out.
Voice Guidance reads out menu items, the TV guide, the on demand library,
programme information and on-screen messages.
We’ve been working on it for some time, so it’s great to be finally able to
speak about it ☺️
