Tony and I went to see James Taylor in the Waterfront Hall in Belfast a few
weeks ago and yes you are right his voice is still in great shape. The gig was
absolutely amazing - one of the best I've been to in a long time. If you do
get a chance to get hold of the programme you'll be in for a treat. We got
front row seats and even got to shake hands with the legend as well.

I think The proxy server thing, sounds a bit too complicated for me! Just a
thought, as there is a James Taylor Night available on BBC4 TV,
for the next 5 days. Saw him about 2 years ago, and his voice is still in
great shape - unlike Dylan.
Can I kill two birds with the one stone? While I've seen references to the AGM
in NCBI on Saturday 24th may, I don't remember a mention of the time?

Claude you're right, that's exactly how it works. The proxy accesses the
target site on your behalf using an IP allocated in a region in which
access to the content is permitted. So in this case the proxy would
contact the BBC servers using an IP address allocated to a UK-based ISP
/ organisation.
Depending on the number of users / streams going through the proxy at
any one time, this could become a bottleneck very quickly though.
A friend of mine tried it for BBC radio streams in the past but thought
it was more trouble than it was worth, ended up going for Sky Digi
instead.

I need to do more digging, but the solution would be to use a proxy
server server based in the UK. It changes your IP address for one in the
UK (if the proxy is located in the UK). You would need to install a
piece of software on your computer to do this. All I know is that it
slows down your computer a fair bit.
