Hi Ciaran,

It's not the easiest website to use! I tried to register my phone number on there last week and there are links and edit boxes and unmarked check boxes everywhere and then it decides to chuck error at whatever opportunity it likes! Then, when I phoned them up and asked them to do it over the phone, the operator told me I would only get half of the free ?10 credit for registering! Discrimination or what!
Regards,
Louise.

Michael,

Although I'm not familiar with the Vodafone site, here's a suggestion:

Try hitting the "enter" key when in one of the form fields. Sometimes
this performs the same action as clicking on the button.

Sorry I can't help with the checkbox issue, but it's one I'm familiar
with. Usually what I do is go to the last one in the list, and figure
out whether it's located before or after the actual text. Applying this
logic to the rest of the checkboxes allows me to tic the correct ones.

Hope this is of use,

Ciaran

Subject: [vicsireland] Accessing Vodafone Website

Hello List Members

Recently I have been experiencing problems sending text messages from
within the vodafone website.

I have tried with both Jaws 5.1 and JAWS 7 and experienced similar
problems with both versions.

The main problem occurrs when adding a contact to my contacts list.
After sending a text message I am asked if I would like to add the new
contact to my contact list. I can enter the first, last and nick names
but for the life of me I cannot find the OK button to save the data.

I could do this without any problem a number of weeks ago - something
has changed and now the OK button has vanished.

Also, if I wish to select a contact to send a text message to by ticking
the tick box this is also quite difficult. When I check the tickbox for
contact A I discover that in fact I have checked the tickbox for
contact B.

Can anyone advise please.

Versions used: JAWS 5.1 & 7.1; Windows XP Pro

Best regards,

Michael
