Hi All,
I'm very pleased to let you know that this month, our Zoom session will
be presented by Bill McCann, founder and CEO of Dancing Dots. As ever,
it would be very helpful if you could reply if you definitely plan to
attend, to give us an idea of interest and numbers. The date is
Wednesday 30 June, at 3 PM UK time, and here is Bill's outline:
Knowing the Score with Dancing Dots
Bill McCann of Dancing Dots will show how he, as a totally blind
musician, can independently read and write musical scores using the
interactive features of the Lime notation editor combined with the
GOODFEEL Braille Music Translator. Lime presents what McCann calls a
talking braille score. Lime offers synchronized presentation of the
score in a multimedia environment: standard or magnified print notation
on screen, braille music notation on your braille display, together with
musical playback and verbal description. He will read a few sample files
of various types and styles of music and also create new scores using
direct entry into Lime, music OCR with SharpEye, and MusicXML import
into Lime.
