Hi Steve,

Re Tamberene: it's easy to add the tamberene to what's already there, but I'd love to know what you would like to be better. Bare in mind that here I have the multi-track recording of the kit with 9 tracks of microphones on bass drum, two mics on the snare, a mic each for the three toms, two overhead mics and an ambient mic. To add the tamberene all I do is add a track to the project, record the tamberene on that track, do any basic mixing, (volume, panning, and whether I use any effects) and then just render that new mix to a new mp3 file for your delectation.

Talk soon, John

Hi Peter, Clive & All,

OK, so, I'd like some clarification, if poss, on who will play what in these projects? Is someone going to make that decision? Or, shall the relevant musicians for a particular instrument volunteer?

As for a tambourine on Johns new drum track, are you able, easily enough, John to add them in to the track you've already done? Or, would it sound any better to redo it?

Cheers all.

Steve

Hi John and All,

That's great. The only caveat is that I think, at least for the bass part, and maybe for some others, you need to have the new drums to play to. That's why I suggested making a new guide track with the drums. If I have a chance I'll make that in the next few days and let you know.
Then others can record parts as John suggests. Steve, are you happy to play bass?

Best,

Peter
