Amanda writes:
The RHN is a charitable hospital which provides assessment, rehabilitation and
long term care for individuals with neurological disabilities. Our patients are
aged from 18 – 80’s and have disabilities either as a result of an accident or
a sudden or chronic illness. I work with the Leisure and Family Department
which aims to provide leisure and stimulation for our patients / residents.
This includes scheduling regular concerts and activities. We have an events
hall with a small stage where i run a live concert every Saturday 2-3 pm.
Due to the diverse group of patients (age and interests) we try to provide as
much variety as possible so welcome acts from all types of genres. Whatever the
style of music it is always great to have musicians that engage with the
patients.
We mostly pay £100 - £120 for those acts that charge although there is scope
for a very slight increase for special occasions or larger acts.
