Hello.
That's why I linked to both the accessible, and standard versions in my youtube
video description. I'll link to the accessible version for you again, here.

Dear Andre,
I have tried to download the software without any success. It wasn't clear
reading the website if the version is that which has been made accessible or
not.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Roger.

Subject: [vibe] Jamulus: Internet Jamming Software that might just blow your
mind!
Greetings.
With the world going through some utter and total madness at the moment, and in
many of our cases, with a severe lack of gigs over the last few months, I
started to find myself suffering from musical withdrawal.
Not playing with live musicians, surviving on just random youtube live streams
which is just me in my living room talking to camera and having to keep up both
ends of a conversation isn't my idea of fun.
Purely by accident in early August I found some software called Jamulus. Now I
can well imagine what many of you might be thinking.
'Oh boy, another audio solution, it's surely just another zoom, skype, teams
replacement right?'
Well, not quite.
Under the right circumstances and with good hardware, it's extremely low
latency and since hearing is believing, I made a short video to demonstrate how
this could work.
In essence, you connect to a server along with other people. Doesn't have to be
musicians though. You could use this for realtime conferences for example.
I do know of a few choirs using it for rehearsal purposes, since meeting up in
large groups is prohibited in many places right now, some of these choirs are
50 to 100-strong. Many are separated by tens if not hundreds of miles and yet
they're all able to sing together and on-time. This simply would not be
possible with your conventional audio/video platforms such as those mentioned
above.
In any case, I've pasted the video below and if you're interested in joining
with whatever instrument or instruments you play, there are Mac and Windows
builds linked in the video description, so please do check there for relevant
information.
At this time, there are no builds for mobile platforms such as iOS or Android,
although I hear an Android build is in the pipeline, somewhere.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and feedback on how you find using the
software, or if you have any problems with it, as I'm in-touch with the
developer who's forked the main build and is very kindly providing an
accessibility version for blind people. This too, is of course linked in the
video description.
Feel free to write to me off-list or drop comments in the video if you have
questions or thoughts, so as not to flood the list for people entirely
uninterested in this.
Hope to be playing alongside some of you in the not so distant future.
