Hello Mo,
The ISO I downloaded has a size of about 608MB.
Unfortunately, when I use
diskpart
list disk
command
my USB pen with the Image for talking Arch
does not appear to be detected.
Only my hard disk is recognised.

Many thanks,

Mike.

Hi mike.

Hmm, that's quite worrying. I need to try it on a machine that supports USB booting at this end. Can you see the partial partition on the drive? Also i am wondering if its worth double checking to see if it boots when its burned to a cd? The only other thing i can think of is that the download was corrupted. I think the final file size is around 609 MB. Let me know how you get on, i will try and test at my end tomorrow.

All the best,

Mo.

Hello Mo,

I have used USBWriter to put the new image on to a USB pen apparently

with no problems..

Unfortunately, when I attempt to boot from the USB pen I am not

getting any feedback.

I am waiting to get some sighted help to see what is happening on the screen.

Many thanks,

Mike.

Hello Everyone.

Its been rather quiet on here to say the least. Has anyone apart
from Rill had a chance to test the new image? the next stage is
going to be compiling a list of packages or functions that people
would like to see from a live rescue CD version of linux, and
documenting the various programs chosen for a specific task. but of
course, a li
 st
isn't a list without people's feedback/comments, so
please keep your feedback coming.

thanks for reading,

Mo.
