HI Robert,
This is in my opinion worth doing anyway for your own convenience. Within voice
view setting find the toggle switch which when activated allows you to turn
voice view on and off by pressing the power button 3 times and activate it. Now
whenever you wish to turn voice view off press the power button 3 times
quickly, press it again 3 times to turn voice view back on. I find this
particularly useful when listening to movies and tv programs. For some reason
it also seems to stop the program pausing when the screen locks itself.

A sighted friend is going to use my kindle tablet. How to turn off voice view
so my friend can use the tablet? Also how to turn it back on after my friend is
