I called Amazon UK this morning. I pointed out to them that I was pretty cross
that my tablet was belly six months old and now they were releasing a new one
with better features. I managed to get a deal out of them. If I pre-order, they
will knock 20% off the tablet price for me. The only drawback is that the
tablet doesn't come in magenta which is what my favourite colour is. Arguably,
I can't see it, so it doesn't really make any difference. :-). They also told
me that, they weren't sure when the update was coming out so that Alexa would
be available on the current fire seven and 8HD tablets.
