I realized I was being all gung-ho with Rhonda when I hadn’t bothered to do
the same things to my own tablet. So I did!
the first thing it did was ask to correct the time.
I know this is old hat to a lot of you but I dread setting ups in general.
I hate doing that username and password thing on devices like this.
Since most sites demand that you have numbers as well as letters in your
passwords, that means you have to keep switching screens.

I never thought in a million years I’d be asked to type all that on a touch
screen device and that the symbols and numbers would be on a totally
different screen.
It’s that part that makes me nuts!
and what’s up with that keyboard?
It has a .com selection but not a .net one. Or did I miss finding it.
I must say I do like the “next” and “done” buttons being right there as part
of the keyboard.
On other devices they aren’t even close but off in a totally different
place.
And when I tried to change the “MY fire” name it wouldn’t let me.
But after I got it registered, it was already filled in.
I’m assuming that I can now change it if I want to?
I noticed one thing in the locations setting.
It says to add locations tap the plus symbol.
So where the hell is the plus symbol?
I dragged my finger from one end of that thing to the other and it never
said “Plus” once.
That was after a few attempts to bypass the “plus” by simply double tapping
the screen, but that didn’t work either.
So how do I add my location so things like Alexa and the weather app know
what to tell me when I ask.
Having this thing is going to be more fun than I thought.
I was originally thinking another portable device to play my vast collection
of audio books on, and maybe a few games, but I'm looking forward to seeing
what else I can do with my Fire.
