Hi Mary.
I was eventually able to get the 2 communicate... Sort of. What I'm finding is
that the Brailliant BI 14 specifically does not consistently display things
that other displays like the Orbit and Refreshabraille are. However, it's not
consistent in that sometimes things are displayed in braille, like apps on the
home screen, but other times, there is only VoiceView's speech providing the
feedback. I'm running the latest firmware for the BI 14, which is likely
different from the firmware on the 32. Have you connected the 32 to a Fire
tablet? Did you have more success?
Thank you for the reply!

I am not Scott, but the answer to your question is yes. The brailliant 32
works with the Kindle fire.

Scott, does a Brailliant 32 work with the Fire tablet? I have not used it on
anything but my phone. I’m sure some of my frustration with the Fire would
go away if I used braille.
Thanks!

Hi all.
I'm playing around with braille support on the Kindle Fire and am overall
quite impressed. It too Amazon less than a year of development to pass
Google in terms of braille access. Anyway, I have loaded a book into the
Kindle and wanted to go to the top of the book. You are supposed to be
able to use space with L to do this, but I'm finding that it isn't
working. I also tried added dot 7, and it still will not navigate to the
top. command ∮for navigating to the bottom causes the nothing to happen
as well. It seems to work ° fine when navigating around various home
screens on the tablet, but not in books. Am I missing something? Using an
Orbit Reader 20 with 5.6 whatever the latest release from earlier this
year is. It says my Kindle was last updated in April, and that there is
no update available, so I assume this is the latest firmware?
Thank you for any feedback,
Scott
