In my case, I like being able to download the podcasts for later listening.
That way, I don't have to depend on a wi-fi connection to listen to them.

hi. first. my kindle fire 6" does not have a memory card slot.
so, i really don't want to download any podcasts for off broadband
listening if that means they are saved on internal memory. however,
saying that, there is storing in cloud option but again the amount of
free space that amazon provides is minimal. or, i could use dropbox,
but again minimal - all of these the free versions.
saying all of this, there is"sticher" which is free in the amazon app
store, that i have installed and will try it out and see what kind of
options are offered especially downloading.

of course, some kindle fire's have the memory card slot, including the
new $49 model. so, one could use download and save to the memory card.
if, again, that can be done. i'm not sure. i will have to read more ...
