Hi Dan. What do you want to do? Read/play files from the thumb drive
while on the Fire tablet? Transfer files?
I have used the free ES Explorer file manager app found in the Amazon
app store to read files on my Fire tablet and other drives. Also used
to transfer files. Have also connected my Fire tablet to my PC by
standard USB cable to transfer files from my computer to my Fire
tablet.
If you install the VLC media player, your Fire tablet can read any
video file extension.

libraries to see the contents. I do not see anything called libraries and
can't find a way to see what is on the usb drive.
How does this thing work?
Also, what format of video files will the HD 8 work with?
