To close apps, you double tap the app switcher button which is next to the home
button at the bottum of the screen. Then then swipe til you hear the name of
the app you want to close and swipe right again and double tap dismiss this app
and the app will close.

But it wasn’t there to my explorations when the web page was up. I ended up
shutting it off and rebooting. Right now I don’t know how to close apps and

around, things get better. But then I get new things popping up and wonder

Thanks for the advice on the app store. I think I will leave that well enough

Generally, I am finding that this is a learning curve, but far less steep
since I am a good iPhone user. There are definite similarities, but enough
difference to make it a challenge. I will be reading the built-in
documentation a few times.
Still can’ get a book to read, though.

On your tablet is the Back button available toward the bottom left, one item
to the left of the Home button?
Regarding acquiring additional apps it is not necessary to install an app
store onto your tablet. The Fire tablets come with an app store. However,
this app store will not provide a list of every app which is available for
Android devices using the Android Google Play store. The Amazon app store
contains many but not all apps available from Google Play. If there are
Android apps that you want which are not available via Amazon's app store it
is possible to install the actual Google Play app store. However, doing this
could void your tablet's warranty. I've never gotten a firm answer about
whether this is the case or not but it's definitely a risk to consider.
