hi. each time you either set up a new kindle or set up a
kindle-reader-for-pc you create a new kindle account.
i have six. and, two i no longer use because they were installs on a
different computer or i uninstalled and installed another
kindle-reader-for-pc application.
In other words, although they are active accounts, i never took time
to remove them even though i don't use them.
the other three are for my kindle keyboard, kindle fire and
kindlepocket-e-reader.
i have three kindle-reader-for-pc accounts although i only use the one
on this computer with windows xp installed.
in theory, one can have as many accounts as they have kindle's. and,
when you go to have a sample or buy a kindle book, you are given the
option to send that media to any of your active accounts.
that is what i meant by "it is possible" ...
and, that could mean the book was sent to one reader and the new
install is the one looking for the book.
actually, when i think about it, one could just go to amazon, find a
kindle book and have a sample sent so that when that dropdown comes up
one will find very quickly if they have more than one account. should
have of thought of that before /smile.
