hi delma. for the first two questions. nope and nope.
but, you can alter what your home screen shows in a session by tapping
home or recent. if you haven't, try and see what happens.
for the third, transferring from pc to docs should be no problem.
again, give it a whirl and see what happens. i would think that the
fire can read a file, it will. if you double tap and hold on the file
you may get options on what program will open the file.
on the last one, you can add new contacts in contacts.
