That's fine! It is still up to each person whether he/she wants them or not,
regardless of where they are. I didn't want them; I think I did see them on the
home screen but perhaps I accidentally tapped on the offers icon to see this
but either way, I did not want them and do not want them. That's my choice. But
some people, seeing them only on the unlock screen, may indeed decide this is
fine. If some people just didn't realize they could skip the unlock screen and
this makes a difference, this is a good point; I don't always want to skip my
unlock screen.

if we are talking about the opening screen, then you don't even have
to hear the ads. only sighted people will be bothered.
when it opens, just do a two finger swipe upwards to get to the home screen.
there are absolutely zero ads on my home screen. none, xilch, nada.
unless you consider the clickable icons for games, app store, offers,
etc to be ads. that is imho a stretch.
again, if you mouse your finger at the bottom of the home screen, you
will find back, home and app switcher. tap on app switcher and you can
dismiss any window that you have opened. that might clean up your
screen during the session you are in.
