Hi Melissa. Did you try this? Go into Program files on your computer.
Tap on the Codex folder. Then tap on the Codex application file.
Opened for me.

kindle for pc did not update, so not sure why codex is looking for
configurations. i may uninstall and install both programs on wednesday so i
can get some working eyes to help me sign back on to kindle. any other
