as for alexa, just find the home button at the bottom of the screen.
just mouse around, swipe left and right to find home, you will go
through back, home and app switcher. double tap and hold on home and a
chime will sound. release and just say something like "how old are
you". if alexa responds. wah-lah, alexa is working! note, that
double-tap and hold can be done in the middle of the screen once you
have swiped and focused on the home icon.
have you installed all of the os updates? to find out?
in quick settings (bring it up with a two-finger swipe down from the
top of the home screen) tap on settings then device options.

turned on and VoiceView running. I got my wi-fi connected, downloaded
braille back though I haven't tried to set up a braille display with it
yet.
I even played around with the calendar and added an event for a musical I'm
attending this weekend. I tried enabling Alexa, not sure if that went
through. And I downloaded a kindle book from my library but haven't figured
out how to get it to play yet. grin. All in all. it's terrific so far.
