hi. i also have the old kindle keyboard. but, the fire touch screen is
a breeze. only really three gestures; swipe, double tap and double tap
and hold. kindle books have a few more, but, the more you do it the
better you get. muscle memory! and, the fire was my first touch
device. at age 67, an old dog can learn new tricks!
as for your problem in accessing the amazon app store, i think it is
your browser not amazon. you might be accessing the site as a mobile
device or through the accessible link. try deleting all of your
history and cookies. then reboot and type www.amazon.com into your
browser address bar and go to the app store.
this same problem happened with my windows tablet running win 8.1 and firefox.
typing this on my laptop running the old but reliable windows xp!
come back and tell us if your problem is corrected.

something about "you cannot order from this mobile device. You must put it
on your wish list and use your computer." Anyone know if Amazon did some
changing or if there is a fix for this? I don't know why it thinks my xp
computer is a mobile device.
