hi russ. back again. before i got to do anything that i said in my
previous post, this came from a request on the amazon discussion
forum. i simply asked if someone could go into voice -view and see if
they could get alexa to work. here is the answer. interesting. i will
have to muddle around with this. however, this seems to require a
perfect position on the home button. we'll see!
Ok, I tried it. On my Fire HD 8, I can access Alexa, while in
VoiceView, by first tapping the Home button, then long-pressing
simultaneously the Home button and the app-switcher button (the little
square icon to the right of the Home button).
It seems a little finicky and doesn't always react to my long-press.
Or, it could be I'm not doing it quite right. But, it will work. I was
able to ask 3 questions in a row.
