Hi Joseph. I bought the 6" Fire back in August, 2015, and, it was my
first Fire and touch-screen device. I like the smaller footprint alot
also. Unfortunately, Amazon veered away from this size tablet and
moved to much larger size tablets. I think it is a reading visually
thing with larger material such as magazines, newspapers. So, the 6
inch Fire is no longer made although you can find it from 3rd party
sellers with a Google or Amazon search. Another drawback is that this
Fire does not have an external memory slot like the newer models.
But, I'll pick it up often especially when I'm not going to tap on one
of the many more apps that I have installed on my 7" Fire. But, Amazon
is still updating this Fire to their newest OS and it's got Alexa!
Plus, it fits in my back pocket!
As for your question as to processor for the 6" Fire, specs. read as follows:
Quad-Core: 2 @ 1.5 GHz + 2 @ 1.2 GHz , with 1 GB of RAM.
