I have done this before. I only borrow e-books that are available in a kindle
format. You choose to download the kindle version and you should be able to
read the book just fine. I have never gotten the epub e-books to work on my
fire tablet. I tried converting this type of e-book into an accessible format,
and it didn't work. I also downloaded my library's electronic content app, and
I couldn't read the epub e-books either. So unless someone else knows how to
read these types of books and gives instructions, I would stick to the e-books
that the library offers in a kendle format. You just open thebook information
in your library app like overdrive, and double tap on format or formats and you
can see what formats are available for that particular book.

Hello everyone,
I am just now beginning to familiarize myself with the Kindle Fire 8 and
VoiceView. Although I am a passionate iPhone user and MacBook devotee,
developments in the Kindle world have been encouraging, and in terms of
acquiring Kindle equipment, you can’t beat the price!
So here is my question: Although I live in Vienna, Austria for much of the
time, I still have US residency, which entitles me to check out eBooks from
my local library. Are there any hidden gotchas from a VoiceView perspective
that would make it difficult to read these books? Apparently, they delete
themselves after a given period of time, which is fine, but what I am
wondering is if there are any DRM or other issues that could complicate
reading when VoiceView is running.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
