2. Is this the skill you are talking about? I don't own a smartphone,
so, not sure it will work for me, but, will give a go anyway.

find that information in quick settings/settings/device options. And,
if not, tap the update button. You might have to go through this
process more than once. I believe, if any updates are made to Alexa,
they come with each new Fire operating system release.
2. Searching Google for Amazon app store find your phone apps, This
was the first hit. This was the Find My Phone app in the Amazon app
store. But, the latest update of that app was in 2014, way before
Alexa.
3. Then again, if you are using this app, are you in the Google App Store?
4. Then I tried, simply, with Alexa enabled on my Fire tablet saying:
Find My Phone. Alexa replied that I needed to install the tracker app
and key in a pin number. Is this what you are talking about. Or, what
I noted in item 2?
