Well, I've been an extremely loyal Kindle user since, um, March of 2011, so I'll be looking forward to Jane's presentation. I'm sure there are tricks I don't know ...or figured out, but as usual with me, the hard and round about way, LOL, and if nothing else, I'll be giving her lots of moral support ...and singing the praises of the Kindle. I have around 650 books on my Kindle ...(just can't resist ...), and for a couple of days, I've been having TTS issues. When it starts to read, it reads a phrase, stops and thinks about things, then the next phrase, an so on ...then it just ...stops. So I tried several things, including turning TTS off, then back on again, but this morning, it just got so bad it twanged my last "put up with" nerve, so, with some trepidation, I decided to do a complete reset. Holding the slider switch that turns the Kindle off and on to the right for several seconds will accomplish this, but I've only had to do it once before, for another reason, and couldn't remember if I would have to reset guides and TTS, and if I'd lose my books. Well, it worked *perfectly*! Everything stayed where it belonged, including my books, and my TTS is reading away happily to me ...which is a very good thing, because I'm close to finishing a *really* good book by Rob Walker ...and if I got truly stuck this far along, I would not take responsibility for the safety of *anyone* who crossed my path the wrong way. So just as with a computer, when in doubt, reboot, LOL! Shoshana
