Hi William and others interested in this braille topic. Here is a link that I
hope isn't broken when I transfer it from my PC. This will take you to a page
that has all of the new Braille stuff that is supposed to be rolling out to our
fire tablets. It's not clear to me how they're going to do this unless it's
part of an OS update. I did send a note to Device Accessibility atamazon.com
looking for clarification on this. Anyway, here is the link.

anything in the Fire onboard user manual?
quick settings/settings/help/user guide/accessibility features/pair a
braille display with your Fire tablet (note that has much more than
just pair, commands as well).
