Hi, Marcus.
I think that you need to be in the menu in order for Voice guide to work.
Press the menu button which is located on the top right hand corner of
the keyboard.
Now press shift-spacebar and see if the voice comes on.

Okay, I plugged in the power cord and flipped the on/off switched and
released it.
After a few seconds, I then pressed Shift plus Spacebar to turn on
Voice Guide and waited. And waited. And waited.
Nothing.
I could use some help while waiting for a sighted relative to drop by.
