Maybe worth a shot? Like I said, my newspaper subscription works fine
on my Fire tablet.
Also, the Columbus Dispatch offers a free app as well. It works, but,
is limited to major stories and they open as PDF images. So, on my
Fire? Not good for my eyes!

have never gotten to work as it appears it should, either on my windows
machine or a BrailleNote Touch. I can read the table of contents and
tap on a headline, but rarely can I get it to read. Advertisements are

There is a Statesman app for IOS and Android, (though apparently not
for Fire OS. It's okay for recent news stories, but the opinion pieces
are usually several days old. As I said, so far, my best experience is
reading the paper using my phone, but I've really come to enjoy the
Fire and would like to have it as an option.
One of the columnists mentioned in passing that an Alexa skill is
coming, but I'm thinking it may only give us headlines, like what we
get in daily emails.
