It's my understanding Kindle for pc with accessibility and the Kindle app for ios will read all books regardless if text to speech is enabled or not. It's probably best to sample the book before buying.

hi don. the information on the page offering the title should tell you
if the book is text-to-speech enabled.

if in the end, this is not the case, just return to amazon for a
credit. they are very good about this.

however, saying that, i always sample before buying to find out for
myself. i learned early on that not all kindle books are speech
enabled.

nevertheless, converting with codex will solve that problem! just sayin'.

stay well ... william

When considering whether to download a Kindle book, exactly where does
one go to ascertain whether speech is turned on in the book one plans to
buy?

I ask because I bought a Kindle book and was told that speech is
enabled, yet I am not able to play the book beyond its front matter on
my IOS app nor on my windows pc.

I just found out that Kindle allows me to loan this book for two weeks.
So I just loaned it to another list member for examination.
