OK how do I get the latest update? Sorry to sound so like I don't know much
but I'm really not a tech person. <grin>

When I bought my Kindle recently, it didn't have the latest firmware. I was
able to check my firmware by placing my Kindle on my Scanner and using openbook
to read the Kindle screen.

I should have the latest firmware. I've only had my Kindle two weeks. How do
I check for updates? Thanks!

Carla

To toggle Voice Guide on and off: Shift plus Space. Make sure you are running
firmware 3.3 or greater.

A few times when Iâve been reading with the Kindle I hit home and somehow I
lose my speech. Is there a quick fix for this so I can go in and turn it back
on? Both timesit happened I had to have sighted help by going in to settings
and making sure voice guide was on. I am a new Kindle user and after a couple
of weeks Iâm loving it so would like to get this problems solved. Thanks!
