Hi Mary
Following your email, we have just revisited the kindle store and have now
found one of the books, the other is only a paperback.
Many thanks for your help.
best wishes

Just make sure there really is no Kindle edition. Sometimes, if you look up a
book on the Amazon site, it will have the paperback addition, then there will
be additional formats sometimes. One of those might be Kindle. I don't know how
you were searching, whether on the phone or PC. Of course, if you have the
paper back and then had a means of scanning it, I suppose you could put the
result on your Kindle fire. But if you had a means of scanning it, you could
just read it after you scanned it without reference to the tablet. I assume
that your question had to do with getting books directly onto the Kindle
without having to scan it and then send the scanned copy to the Kindle. That
seems like a lot more work than necessary.

If there is no Kindle edition, then you cannot read the book on the Kindle
tablet.

Hi Everyone
Our very first question on the list <smiles>.
We want to read the below books which appear on Amazon as "paperback". Is it
still possible to read these on the Kindle? We have also tried audible.co.uk
but they are not available.
The books are:
"my life in my hands" by Alison Lapper and
"I Daniel Blake" by Ken Loach.
Thank you

Welcome Henry. There are lots of people on here with some great help and
advice. Just remember, no question is a stupid question. :-)

Hi
My wife Angela and I have just joined the list having purchased our very first
Kindle HD8. We are both totally blind and will be using the voice view
feature. I'm sure lots of questions will be raised as we progress and look
forward to expanding our knowledge.
