Sometimes the nls or bard narrators are just terrible. There are some bad
ones on audible, such as the murder she wrote series, and the paper
magician, but for the most part, I have found Audibles narrations to be
better. However, that does not stop me from checking to see if bard has a
book for free before I buy the book from audible. However, audible's
selection is larger than bards, because there are many books that audible
has that bard does not.
I do not have a bookshare subscription. Its way too expensive, and there's
no commercially narrated audiobooks. I also prefer reading my braille books
in a physical braille book, its less strenuous to my hands and wrists.

Hi Barbie. I like free, although Audible has alot more options. But,
I'm not so sure, at least in my case, that is the deal closer. There
are tons of product at Bard, and, doing some searches between Audible
and Bard I came up with identical hits but of course, with different
voice-artists.
Most of the voice artists that I have listened to with Bard were very
good. In fact, I have listened to books that were voiced by the
author. Not bad for free.
On another note, talking opportunity cost lost, one could pick up an
on sale new Fire tablet every two months considering the monthly
subscription for Audible.
And, I keep saying, one can read only so many books in a lifetime.
