I was able to enable speech on the old keyboard by following the instructions
on the RNIB website at the time. on another list BCAB someone gave quite a
comprehensive guide to setting up the kindle from Amazon that cost around £49
at Christmas time.

thing is that it is still in development and as far as I am aware, the old
one is not. The first thing it did when I configured it, with no assistance I
must add which is something I couldn’t do with the old Keyboard, was to
update the software on the device.
If we can find a way to feed back and get the improvements implemented
reasonably quickly, I think that it will be worth holding on to.

I Have managed to register the device and set it up on my WIFI without too

I Have some books on my account and they have synchronised.
My first question is that I have a book that I have been reading and am quite
a way through on the old Keyboard. I Need to open this one on the new unit
and move to quite a way through to the book to pick up reading where I left
off.
I Am not having much luck finding out how to do this and how to change the
reading speed of the book. I Can bring up the menu by double tapping in the
middle of the screen which gives me options, there is a speed control there
but I can't seem to change this.
Any help would be much appreciated!
