I have an iPod Touch, newest model. I don't see any way to change pages in "App Switcher." Any ideas?

Go into the app switcher and swipe to the second page, there you can lock the orientation. It does not lock the screen like you wanted, but voiceover won't keep saying portrait, landscape, portrait, landscape if it is locked in place.

I agree.

I have a question. Does anyone know if there is a setting that would
allow us to lock the screen while reading? My Touch is so sensitive
that every time I move it, the screen changes from landscape to
portrait. When it does, VoiceOver announces it, and reading is
stopped. It's a minor inconvenience,, one I can certainly live with,
but it would be great if there is a solution.

Again I suggest, instead of a my name to, why not drop amazon a note
thanking them, a bunch of individual e-amils will make much more of
an impact then one message with a bunch of "me to" names.

Folks, may I make a friendly suggestion? A number of us want our
names placed on email to Amazon.com, but no one has agreed to write
such a letter. Why not wait for someone to volunteer. When or if
that person does so, she or he can solicit names off list.
