Hi all. If you are looking for a Alexa skill to locate your phone when
lost, here is one that is simple to set-up and use. It will allow you
to find your phone if you are within hearing-ringing distance. So,
would come in handy in many situations. And, that ringer won't stop
until you shut it off!
The skill is called Find My Phone. It does not require you to install
an application. And, it works on both smart and non-smartphones. Mine
is a 13-year-old LG. No problem! Works great!
1. Make sure you have the newest operating system installation for
your Fire tablet. That would be 5.6.0. To find out, go to quick
settings/settings/device options.
2. Using your Fire tablet, say to Alexa: enable find my phone. Alexa
will ask for your phone number, then, will send a text message to your
phone with a pin number.
Finish the operation by telling Alexa this pin number. All done by
voice, not a key-stroke required! Coolest beans!
3. When, you want to use, simply say to Alexa: open my skills. You
will be given the Find My Phone skill and the option to call your
phone.
