I did find the Bard app settings, I think and got the message that Bard was
disabled. I tried to enable, but nothing happened.

Hi Jonie. If you were able to get all of your Audible and Kindle books to show
up on your Fire tablet, and, they were indeed purchased under your Amazon
account, then you are logged into the Fire with that account.
I might be wrong, but, on the other hand, I don't think you need to give credit
card information to get an Amazon account anyway.
When I talked about settings, that was in the Bard Mobile app not in quick
settings.
Still, try this. Go into quick settings then settings then storage then
internal storage then apps and games and look in the list and see if you find
Bard Mobile. If so, does it say 14.21 mb; that is what I hear. Note if you tap
on Bard Mobile, you will only get an un-install button.
But, if it shows close to the same mb that I have, it has to be installed.
That the download was grayed out probably just means that the app is already
installed. Have you tried to use Alexa to open the app? When Alexa chimes say
Open Bard Mobile. That works for me like a charm!
Stay well ... William

Well, I think I uninstalled Bard, but it still shows up in the
library, and it Will not download. The Fire says the app is disabled.
I went to settings, found it, and couldn't find where to put in my
email and password. I am almost ready to set this device to factory
defaults and start over. I'd call Amazon, but nobody there seems to
know how to do much.
