William, thanks much for this step by step. I've been wanting to do this on my
8hd for a while now but everything I found via a Google search just seemed more
complicated than I wanted to spend time on. Your step by step looks dead easy
so your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Do you know if this would also work on a Fire TV? I'd love to get the Play
Store on there as well.

Hi David. 1. No, you need to install one file at a time.
2. After installing, you probably will not find the Google Play Store
on the home page. You will need to go into your directory with
something like the free ES File Explorer (found in the Amazon app
store) and open the Play Store from there. It then will show up on the
Home Page. At least that is what happened to me.
3. I have a blog post on installing the Google Play Store if one only
has a computer running Windows XP which will not explore the directory
of the Fire tablet by USB. I also have the files on my own server for
download and easily marked. In my process, I used a thumb drive with
the four GPS installation files attached by dongle to my 6 and 7 inch
Fire to get the Google Play Store running on those tablets.

of this year when she was the primary user. Since I've become the primary
user I have reset it and attempted to install the Google Play store from
Rootjunkie's Web site, which worked in the past. However, the Google Play
store does not show up on the home screen's app grid (the apps below the
categories of Home, Music, Apps, etc.) I'm curious to know if there's a
simpler method for installing Google Play, other than downloading each file
individually and installing them one at a time.
