I have a couple of questions. First, how does one do a long hold while
using Voiceview? I have been able to get a new screen open with a
double-tap and hold. This gives me the choice of uninstall and back at
the bottom of the screen and uninstall at the top of the screen. Other
than uninstalling those things I don't want that are allowed to be
removed, my only other option seems to be moving things into a folder I
named Extras. This has cut my icons down considerably, but I did not
have the option to remove anything from the home screen.

There is an easier way to do this. Do a long press on the app, and it will take
you into selection mode. The two choices are to remove the app from home, or to
remove it from the device. Removing it from home is at the top of the list.
Just press enter on your keyboard, or double tap on the selection and you will
no longer see the app. It will be on the kindle in the apps list, but not on
the home screen. Faith

Hi Mary. At this time, the best you can do, is create a folder and drop the
apps into the folder on the home screen. This should make for a much cleaner
look. The following link says it all.

However, I would do this with sighted help since the operation can be difficult
and/or confusing with screenreader, but, perhaps worth it considering how much
cleaner the screen can become!
Stay well ... William

There are quite a few items on the Kindle home screen which I would
like to dispose of. These are things I will never use such as the
calculator, free time, and more. For other things, I would like to be
able to move them. I would like settings up in the top row, not down
at the bottom. Can this be done with the screen reader, and if so how?
