Hi Dotty. Not sure what you mean by not worth the trouble. If you have
the newest version of Kindle for PC, conversion will never work. I
have a link to the older version of Kindle for PC on my blog that does
work.
I never read any books on the PC. I use either my older Kindle
Keyboard, newer Kindle with audio over bluetooth or my Fire tablet.
As an aside, I convert at least one book every week from the Ohio
Online Digital Library. Right now, I have six books on hold waiting
for my name to come to the top of the cue, and, many of the books I
read are ones that are not in their online bookshelf and I recommend.
The conversion scrubs the three week limit, and, I save every book to
text, mobi, epub and kindle. Haven't paid for a Kindle book in over
two years. In the last three weeks, I've read nine books. None of them
were light reading.
That's the word from this side of the fence.

entitled just Kindle. The techies at Amazon guided me through the
installation. Not worth the trouble. My Fire 7 does a better job.
