[vi-kindle] Can't read pdf on kindle

Hey All,

I think I'm doing something wrong.

I copied an ebook in pdf format to my Kindle. The pdf is free of drm;
I know this because I can read it with Jaws on my laptop. But on the
kindle there is no text to speech option under page preferences. What
am I doing wrong?

Shouldn't I be able to read this type of file?
